                             A Note from Owen

Do you have a story and photo you would like to share

about your  OPR adopted pup or dog?  We're looking for some laughs, maybe some tears, how they have changed your life, how they have touched your heart.  We will post your photo on our home page and story to the Your OPR Adoption Story page to share with all of our visitors.  Maybe, just maybe, you'll inspire someone to share their life with a homeless dog. Please send a photo and your story to: OhioPuppyRescue@aol.com

           OPR Spay/Neuter Project!

2009 was a year of great success and impact on the community through Ohio Puppy Rescue. We created the OPR Spay/Neuter Fund.  This is currently a collaboration with animal agencies in Pike and Scioto Counties, as well as Shawnee Animal Hospital, to sponsor spay and neuters for those less fortunate.  In order to continue our efforts in supporting our community and the pet over population, additional funding is required.  We need continuous and generous donations in order to sustain our life-changing work into 2010 and future years.  Please consider a donation to enable our work to continue! Donations can be made by adopting one of our wonderful rescues or directly through PayPal If you wish to send a check, please contact us via email for a mailing address.

Buckeye Dog Auction Exposed!!!

Highlighted Dogs
See all the Dogs!
  Andre'
Andre' is a sweet little boy who was rescued from a Holmes County, OH puppy mill.  He and his brothers came to us in need of a good diet, deworming, and lots of loving.  Andre' has striking green eyes and is considered tan and white.  He's a good looking little boy and will look even better the longer he's with us.
  Alfred
Alfred is a wonderful little tyke, brother to Andre' and Arthur.  He's also a puppy mill survivor and has already started to leave his past behind.  He likes to explore and play with toys.  He's got ears bigger than his body it seems and we know he needs to add a little more weight on his body, but gosh darn those big ears are adorable!
  Arthur
Arthur is Andre' and Alfred's brother.  He was pulled from a Holmes Co. puppy mill and is happy as can be that he's free.  Arthur tends to be a little reserved at this point.  He loves to cuddle and we're sure he'll blossom soon.  How gorgeous is that face?
  Albert
Albert is our big boy.  They say he's Avril and Ariel's brother.  We sure don't see the resemblance, but sure know that Albert is such a great character.  He loves people and dogs alike.  He likes to explore but also likes to roll on his back for belly rubs.  He started off a little scared, but who wouldn't after being born into puppy mill slavery.  Well that life is behind him and he's looking forward to a great family to join.
  Ariel
Can we say striking?  Ariel is a stunning looking girl and has drawn compliments from everyone she meets.  She loves to pal around with her brother, Albert, and sister, Avril.  She also loves to get attention from her foster Mom and comes over to greet her every time she walks into the room.  We're sure Ariel will soon forget her puppy mill past.  She's already becoming a great companion.  Is she the gal for you?
  Avril
Oh what a lover Avril is!  She just gazes in your eyes and you can't help but shower her with loving.  Avril is a puppy mill survivor and is the sister to Ariel and Albert.  She's very interested in toys and will take each one over to a corner to explore it.  Once done, she goes back for another.  Noise toys are a big hit at this point, especially the quacking duck.  We think she's the curious one of the bunch and believe that curiosity is a sign that she'll be easy...read more about Avril
